After several months of deadlock, which is caused by the obstruction of some judges in the Constitutional Tribunal, together with lawyers at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, we have come to the conclusion to submit a motion to the tribunal regarding the act on the organization of the work of this tribunal, announced Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

– It is in this act that there are provisions that say that the so-called full bench that can decide cases that have such a requirement is 11 judges. In today’s circumstances and past circumstances, it is known that there may be a smaller number of judges who can decide a given verdict, he said. “But of course we don’t prejudge whether that will be the case,” he added.

– If the Tribunal decides to consider our application, the decision of the Tribunal will be final in this regard and it may mean that a smaller number (number – ed.) of Constitutional Tribunal judges is needed to take decisions in the so-called full bench procedure – said the head of the government.
