Almost six years ago On July 17-18, 2017, Prince William visited Warsaw and Gdańsk together with Duchess Kate and Princes George and Charlotte. William and his family also visited the Warsaw Uprising Museum, where they met veterans of World War II and the heroes of the Uprising. On the same day, in the evening, the royal couple took part in a party to celebrate their 91st birthday in the Royal Łazienki Park Queen Elizabeth II. He then read a letter written by the monarch, in which details of her former visit to Poland were described.

The second day of the visit to Poland was spent by the princely couple in Żuławy Wiślane and the coast. The first place they visited was the German Nazi concentration camp Stutthof in Sztutowo. from there Prince William and Duchess Kate went to the Shakespeare Theater in Gdańskone of whose patrons is the current King of Great Britain Charles III. The last point of the royal couple’s visit to Gdańsk was the European Solidarity Centre. The spouses then visited an exhibition presenting the history of Solidarity and opposition movements that led to democratic changes in Central and Eastern Europe. While at the museum Lech Wałęsa joined them. After visiting Gdańsk, the princely couple returned to Warsaw, where they spent the second night. The visit ended on Wednesday with a private meeting at the Belweder Palace with the presidential couple.

In the capital, the princely couple lived with their children in Belweder, which on this occasion underwent a “lift” to prepare “rooms and surroundings” for the presence of the princely couple’s children. Thanks to them, George and Charlotte could also play in the gardens of the palace.

Some time after the visit, it was announced that the couple was expecting their third child. The British “The Sun” published a photo of Prince William and Princess Kate from their July visit to Warsaw on the front page. The tabloid suggested that the couple could try for a third child during their stay in Poland. “The Warsaw Act” – summed up the daily.
