On Wednesday, a message about the end of the website and Radio Profeto appeared on the Profeto.pl portal. “Due to the seizure of our bank accounts by prosecution, we are forced to end our works, which proudly be called Profeto,” we read in a statement that priest Michał Olszewski, priest, published in the investigation regarding the Justice Fund.
In the announcement, which was signed by priest Michał Olszewski, president of the Profeto Foundation, we read that the decision is related to the seizure of the Foundation's bank accounts by law enforcement authorities. It has been added that this results in “the lack of material resources needed for further activity”.
The statement thanked the listeners, readers and donors as well as co -founders of Radio and Profeto.pl.
“We also remember those who have not always shared our mission, and even those who openly acted against us. In the spirit of the Gospel and love of Christ, we pray for you, believing that God has a plan for each of us full of good and mercy and we hope for a common joy of holiness” – noted Radio Profeto.
On February 19, we informed that at the end of March it would stop broadcasting Radio Profeto, Profeto.pl will also suspend its activities. We got the first signal in this matter on contact24.
Profeto Foundation and the Justice Fund
The Profeto foundation became loud in connection with the investigation into the Justice Fund. The first indictment – related to the setting of competitions for multi -million subsidies from the Justice Fund – towards six people, including Fr. Olszewski, went to the District Court in Warsaw at the beginning of February. The prosecutor's office applies to one of the many threads of the investigation related to the activities of the Profeto Foundation, whose boss is Fr. Olszewski. Over PLN 66 million went to this foundation, despite the fact that – as the prosecutor's office stated – it did not meet the formal and substantive requirements to receive this money.
Apart from Fr. Olszewski, whom the prosecutor also accused of money laundering, former clerks of MS Urszula D. (former director of the Department of the Justice Fund in MS) and Karolina K. (former head of one of the faculties in the Department of the Justice Fund), which were responsible for granting these funds and had with Fr. Olszewski to act together and in agreement.

The victim aid fund and post -trade assistance, referred to as the Justice Fund, is a targeted fund, i.e. its funds must be spent only for the fund's purposes. This fund was established in 1997 to help victims and witnesses of crimes and people who served in prison and return to an honest life in society (this is a post -trade assistance). From 2017, this fund received an additional goal of counteracting crime.
The FS budget is several hundred million a year. Money comes, among others out of references and cash benefits awarded from the perpetrators of crime, from deductions from remuneration for the work of prisoners and from inheritance, donations, subsidies and collections. For example, in 2022, the fund's revenues amounted to over PLN 401 million, and costs over PLN 343 million.
