A 47-year-old Belarusian who was driving the entire width of the road, which an off-duty policeman noticed, had almost three per mille of alcohol in his system. He kept driving behind him and notified the police. The man was detained in Proniewicze (Podlaskie Province).
The truck crosses the middle of the roadway once, and “catches the hard shoulder” once. We can see all this in the video released by the police.
It all started when a policeman from Hajnówka – on his day off – noticed a drunk driver on national road number 19.

He informed the uniformed officers from Bielsk Podlaski about everything. At the same time, he was driving behind the truck the whole time. The uniformed officers stopped the driver in Proniewicze.
They immediately smelled alcohol on him. The 47-year-old Belarusian had almost three per mille of alcohol in his system.

He was carrying a load to one of the companies in Bielsk Podlaski.
“It turned out that he was transporting cargo to one of the Bielsk companies. The Belarusian was taken to a police cell, and his vehicle to a guarded parking lot,” we read in a statement on the website of the District Police Headquarters in Bielsk Podlaski.
The police have seized the 47-year-old's driving license. He faces up to three years in prison.
