A battle between anti-government protesters and the police broke out in front of the Georgian parliament on Sunday evening. Fireworks and water cannons were set in motion.

In the center of Tbilisi, you can hear explosions of firecrackers and fireworks, whistles, drummers beating drums, and people chanting “Georgia!” Protesters shoot fireworks at the parliament and try to blind those who throw water at the demonstrators from the parliament grounds with lasers.

“Third revolution” in Georgia

According to the demonstrators themselves, more people are participating in the action than on Saturday, when the opposition estimated the number of protesters at 200,000. Even though people go to work in the morning on Monday, they do not leave the parliament. Opposition parliamentarians are present in the crowd, some of them have roses with them.

– We need a month to organize new, lawful elections and elect new politicians. I will come every day after work because I believe in democracy and freedom, said Misha, a 34-year-old protest participant, an entrepreneur.

Protesters say this is the third revolution: after those in 1991 and 2003.
