The police wanted to stop the Mercedes driver for control, who exceeded the speed. This, however, began to run – first by car, then on foot. Finally, officers managed to stop him. It turned out that he was wanted by arrest warrant. The officers published a chase recording.
Everything happened on Saturday, June 14. After 21 o'clock, policemen from Pruszcz Gdański, controlling the S7 expressway, noticed the Mercedes, who drove 169 kilometers per hour in the place where there is a limitation to 120.
– The officers, using sound and light signals, gave the driver an order to stop. The man did not react and continued the ride – said the younger aspirant Karol Kościuch, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Pruszcz Gdański.
He was wanted
During the pursuit, the driver significantly exceeded the speed – at times he drove over 200 kilometers per hour.
– in this way he posed a real threat to passengers of his car and other road users. The officers “did not give up” and continued the pursuit all the time. At some point, the escaping rolling off the S7 road at one of the nodes in Elbląg. There, Pruszan policemen prevented him from driving further. However, the man undertook to escape on foot. The uniforms did not give up and caught up with the fugitive – added Kościuk.

As it turned out, a 36-year-old resident of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship has no authorization to manage and was wanted by arrest warrant to serve a penalty of six months in prison for violation of inviolability.
The 36-year-old was taken to police custody.
He was imprisoned
The man heard the allegation of failure to control and continue driving, despite the order to stop.
– After the action was completed, the 36-year-old was taken to a prison, where he would serve a prison sentence. After a detailed analysis of the saved video material, the man will hear allegations of traffic offenses committed, including speed exceeding and without permission. In these matters, police will draw up appropriate applications to the court – a press officer summed up.
He faces up to five years in prison for failure to keep control.
