Pruszków, railway hospital. The patient patient beat a nurse, the police let him go home

The aggressive patient attacked a nurse on Thursday morning at the railway hospital in Pruszków. The police intervened on the spot. The perpetrator was detained, and then – after hearing at the police station – released home.

Information about the beating of a nurse was given to the radio for you. Zofia Czyż, chairwoman of the Mazovian region of the National Trade Union of Nurses and Midwives, confirmed her in an interview with tvnwarszawa.pl.

– We know that the incident occurred around 6 o'clock at the railway hospital in Pruszków. The patient beat the nurse. Our friend was injured. She was examined and provided by a doctor. The police intervened on the spot – Czyż informed.

A representative of the nurses' trade union also reported that the attacked nurse did not require hospitalization. “It recovers at home,” she added.

Bartłomiej Sub -Company Jacek Wiśniewski from the Warsaw Police Headquarters spoke about the details of the case in an interview with TVN24 reporter Bartłomiej.

– The notification asked for intervention just after 6 o'clock in the morning. Policemen from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Pruszków went to the place. The notification concerned an aggressive man who attacked hospital staff. We confirmed this on the spot. We were dealing with an attacker-patient who had been in one of the troops for several days.

– The man attacked in the morning, not knowing why, among others, a nurse. The woman accepted a few blows in the face, but not only, after which – with the help of staff – the man was overpowered – the policeman continued.

He added that the detainee was a 26-year-old Ukrainian who confessed to the act. He heard the allegation of violation of the bodily integrity of a public official.

After the activities at the command, the 26-year-old was released home. Wiśniewski subcomfolmer explained that there were no additional circumstances that would prompt that the man would continue to be detained.

– We have an established perpetrator, the perpetrator admitted, he heard the allegation. At the moment there are no additional premises to apply for temporary detention or other types of preventive measures – he said.
