PZU. The State Treasury submitted a candidacy of a new member of the company's supervisory board – Beata Stelmach

The State Treasury as a shareholder of PZU submitted the candidacy of Beata Stelmach as a member of the supervisory board of the Polish insurer – PZU informed in a statement. Since this year, Stelmach has been the president of Totalizator Sportowy.

“The Management Board of the Universal Insurance Company of the joint -stock company (…) informs that on June 24, 2025, the company received from the State Treasury of the Republic of Poland – Shareholder of PZU SA, notification about the application of a candidate for a member of the supervisory board of PZU SA – Mrs. Beata Stelmach, in connection with the ordinary general meeting of the company (…), which was convened on June 25, 2025 (…)” PZU communication.

Beata Stelmach was the president of Totalizator Sportowy on February 1, 2025.

PZU said that in the years 2011-2013 Stelmach was a deputy minister of foreign affairs and was responsible for economic diplomacy and promotion of Poland in the world. As for business, among others General Electric was headed in the region of Poland and the Baltic countries, she was also the president of PZL Åšwidnik – a helicopter producer belonging to the global group Leonardo.

She sat on supervisory boards, including Bank Millennium, HSBC Bank Polska, Bank BPH, Kruk, StalexPort Motorway, also chaired the Supervisory Board of the Association of Stock Exchange (in 2006-2011 President of SEG).

Stelmach is a graduate of the SGPiS finance and statistics department (currently SGH) in Warsaw, she also obtained MBA titles at Calgary University and in Insead.

The Capital Group of the Universal Insurance Company is the largest financial institution in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. The group is headed by PZU – the company has been listed at the WSE in Warsaw since 2010. The group includes, among others: PZU Å»ycie SA, Link4 TU SA, TUW PZUW, Alior Bank SA, Bank Pekao SA. The group manages about PLN 300 billion of assets and provides services to approx. 22 million clients in five countries. The State Treasury in PZU has about 34.2 percent action.
