Family shocked by PZU's valuation. “Disbelief”

The walls and ceiling of the building were completely soaked with water. Moreover, the Biała Lądecka River took away the shelter, gate and fence visible in the photo. PZU However, he told them that he would pay less than PLN 85,000. PLN from insurance. – It was shock and disbelief – says Maria to “GW”. This amount of compensation is unacceptable to the family.

PZU explains its valuation. “These are preliminary amounts”
PZU did not comment directly on the case due to insurance confidentiality. “Gazeta Wyborcza“, however, received a response from the insurer, which assured that the amounts mentioned in the article are advance payments and preliminary compensation amounts.
PZU “also contacted the injured party, who did not personally participate in the inspection, to once again explain the status of the proceedings and planned another visit by an appraiser to finally assess the value of compensation.”
“In situations where buildings are completely destroyed or their structure is damaged, the total amount of compensation is paid. In other circumstances, when the building is flooded or flooded, the amount of losses suffered by a given person is determined by a qualified appraiser (e.g. valuation of costs drying, painting, repairs or compensation for insured home equipment) – it was stated in the response to “GW”.
