The Queen will attend Remembrance Sunday commemorations on the Cenotaph this weekend, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

The 95-year-old has been underneath medical doctors’ orders to relaxation for nearly a month.

In an announcement, the palace added: “As in earlier years Her Majesty will view the Service from the balcony of the International, Commonwealth and Improvement Workplace constructing.

“Aware of her medical doctors’ current recommendation, The Queen has determined to not attend the Basic Synod Service and Opening Session on Tuesday 16 November. The Earl of Wessex will attend as deliberate.”

Final month, the palace had stated she could be unable to attend the Competition of Remembrance on the Royal Albert Corridor on Saturday.
