Prime Minister Donald Tusk announces the reconstruction of the government at the turn of spring and summer. Lists to the European Parliament will be prepared in advance. It is no secret that both are related to each other. At the moment, the coalition is going to the next elections in the same configuration as on October 15 and April 7.

When asked whether he is considering a joint start with the Civic Coalition, the Marshal of the Sejm answers briefly: no. Szymon Hołownia announced this decision on Tuesday morning. – We believe that this format, i.e. the Third Way, has proven successful twice – explains Hołownia when asked why he does not want to go with the Civic Coalition.

Third Way back together?

– I respect that too – Prime Minister Donald Tusk comments on Hołownia's decision, at the same time emphasizing that if it were up to him, they would run in the European elections as one joint coalition on October 15. – Those parties that defeated PiS, that took responsibility for government in Poland, could go to the elections together and then, of course, voters would not have such dilemmas – says Tusk. The Coalition of the Polish People's Party and Poland 2050, which again obtained the third result in the local elections, also wants to fight for seats in the European Parliament in the same composition. – We are always ready for any solution, but I am very satisfied with the Third Way – says Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense. – Today (Tuesday – editor) and tomorrow (Wednesday – editor) will be crucial for the decision we will make – comments Krzysztof Paszyk, PSL MP.

– There is a proven model, our alliance with the Polish People's Party is proven – emphasizes Michał Kobosko, MP from Poland 2050.

In the afternoon, the authorities of the Polish People's Party met on this matter.

– There is always such a risk. We will work hard during these two months to change this situation, says Kobosko in response to a question about the risk that Law and Justice may again win first place in the upcoming elections.

Will there be changes to the government's coalition agreement?

MP Michał Kobosko will be one of the leaders of the Third Way lists. According to unofficial information, ministers Krzysztof Hetman and Czesław Siekierski from the Polish People's Party and Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz and Borys Budka from the Civic Coalition would like to leave the government for the European Parliament. And this is definitely not the end. Ministry from the Left is also expected to be on this list. – As for the reconstruction of the government, it will definitely happen and I have already said that the turn of spring and summer seems to me to be an appropriate moment – Tusk announces.

Donald Tusk cited the start in the elections and the strengthening of lists to the European Parliament by some ministers from his government as one of the reasons for the reconstruction of the government during this period. – Those who, as the Prime Minister, I consider that for some reason did not make optimal use of these few months will also say goodbye to their jobs in the government – adds the head of government.

Hołownia: the coalition agreement is not the Holy Bible

The topic of government reconstruction, as Donald Tusk announced on Tuesday, is also to appear for the first time at the leaders' meeting. The question whether the meeting will focus on changes to the coalition agreement remains open. – I don't see any point in talking about it at the moment. Another thing is that the coalition agreement is not Holy Scripture and if it needs to be renegotiated, we will renegotiate it. After all, we are one of the ground floors, says Szymon Hołownia. Law and Justice politicians also met at the headquarters on Nowogrodzka Street for the first time after the local elections. – I am convinced that we will move together as the United Right. This formula still brings us great benefits – says Adam Bielan, MEP of Law and Justice and member of the Republican Party.
