In this school, students did not enjoy full-time education for too long. According to the spokeswoman of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Radom, Małgorzata Gregorczyk, a coronavirus was detected in one of the teachers of the Economic Schools Complex. The decision has already been made that students will learn remotely, and only two days have passed since the beginning of the new school year.
Representatives of the town hall in Radom met on Friday morning with the management of the Economic School Complex at Werner to decide whether to close the school. His press office informed us about the results of the meeting. – By the decision of the Department of Health, from today until September 9, the school will be teaching distance learning – Katarzyna Piechota-Kaim from the press office of the city office in Radom told us on Friday afternoon.
A teacher infected with COVID-19
The information was also confirmed by a spokeswoman for the PSEZ in Radom. – In connection with the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in one of the teachers, the County Sanitary Inspector acceded to the request of the director of the Economic School Complex in Radom to introduce distance learning. It will take place during the quarantine of contact persons, that is from today (September 3 – ed.) To September 9 – Małgorzata Grzegorczyk said in an interview with tvnwarszawa.pl. She emphasized that all students were covered by distance learning and the situation would be monitored on an ongoing basis. – If there are no further infections, students will be able to return to school on September 10 – summed up the spokeswoman.
The remote learning ordinance also appeared on the school’s website on Friday. Its content was signed by the deputy director of the facility, Małgorzata Zaraś.
Coronavirus in Mazovia and Warsaw
As we read on the government website reporting daily COVID-19 infection statistics, 48 infections were recorded in the Mazowieckie voivodship on Friday. However, there has been no fatal case of falling ill.
As for Warsaw, 26 coronavirus infections have been confirmed since the last 24 hours. No fatal case has been reported.
