Five years in prison is threatening a 46-year-old man who – according to the prosecutor’s office’s findings – on Saturday entered a shopping mall in Radom with a machete and threatened employees. The man has already heard the accusations. He was temporarily arrested.
On Saturday, the Radom police officer on duty received information that in one of the retail outlets in the city there is a man who has a machete and is threatening the employees of the gallery with it.
– The perpetrator shut up with an employee of one of the service points. After the received notification, the policemen immediately went to the place and overpowered the man – Justyna Jaśkiewicz from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom said.
Charges and arrest
The 46-year-old was taken to hospital. Blood was taken from him for tests for alcohol and intoxicants. The man was sober, and the drug results are to be known shortly.
On Monday, the prosecutor presented charges against a 46-year-old resident of Radom. He will be responsible for exposure to imminent danger of loss of life or serious damage to health, punishable threats and imprisonment. He faces up to five years in prison.
By a court decision, the man was imprisoned for three months.
