Radom. Less than an hour, two fines. 16 points, over a thousand zlotys fine

The police from Radom informed about the driver of the Peugeot, who was stopped twice by the traffic police in less than an hour. The first time he explained the rush with illness, the second – a fire in his brother’s car.

As Dorota Wiatr-Kurzawa from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom informed on Monday, for the first time a Peugeot resident of Leipzig, who was driving a Peugeot, was detained for road control on Kozienicka Street in Radom. He exceeded the speed limit by 30 km/h.

“The 36-year-old explained that he had a cold and was in a hurry to go home. Such an excuse, however, did not impress the uniformed officers who, in accordance with the applicable tariff, fined the man PLN 400 and seven penalty points – said the policewoman.

Less than an hour later, a patrol from the motorcycle group of the Radom road police conducted speed control in the village of Dąbrowa Kozłowska. The police arrested the same driver for speeding. This time it accelerated to 86 km/h.

– The translation was quite different; the driver claimed he was going to see his brother whose car caught fire, said the sergeant.

The police officers checked the account of the 36-year-old driver in the police systems and, seeing that only a few dozen minutes earlier he had been punished by another traffic patrol, they contacted the police officers to ask about the driver.

– This time he received a fine of PLN 800 and nine penalty points – said the policewoman.

In less than an hour, the 36-year-old reduced his budget by PLN 1.2 thousand. PLN, and the driver’s account increased by 16 penalty points.
