On Thursday, around 7 p.m., the duty officer of the Radom command received a report about an incident involving an Audi and a Ford at the intersection of Kochanowski and Puławska. Police officers from the Radom traffic police were sent to the site.
The police determined that the cause of the accident was most likely the failure to yield the right of way in front of the driver of the Audi, a 14-year-old. The driver of the Audi hit a Ford driving on the road with the right of way, driven by a 66-year-old resident of the Radom district. As a result of the incident, a 17-year-old passenger in the Audi suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital, reports Sgt. pcs. Dorota Wiatr-Kurzawa from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom.
He also reveals the circumstances of the accident, which the police determined, among others. thanks to the witnesses. – As it turned out, a few moments before the incident, the 17-year-old was driving the Audi, but at some point he switched with the 14-year-old behind the wheel, and he himself switched to the passenger seat. The 17-year-old has a driving ban imposed by the court last year, because he had previously driven a vehicle without a license – adds Wiatr-Kurzawa.
All participants of the event were sober. Teenagers will be held accountable for their behavior in a family court.
