Drogów police used a drone to control truck drivers moving along the S7 route. As they explain, this is the best way to see if they are banned from overtaking by truck on fast roads.

Monday's action on the S7 route was conducted by officers from the Road Traffic Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom, in cooperation with police officers of the Police Police Staff. Its purpose was to x -ray the behavior of truck drivers. Particular attention was paid to illegal maneuvers, such as overtaking.

– The uniforms used a police -wired air ship in activities. The drone is a professional and modern device, equipped with a precise camera. He records offenses in places where particularly dangerous situations can occur – says Justyna Jaśkiewicz, spokeswoman for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom.

Prohibition of truck overtaking

He adds that the new regulations prohibiting the overtaking of truck drivers on express roads have been in force since 2023, but not everyone remembers them and applies to them. The fine for breaking this recipe is a thousand zlotys and eight penalty points.

– At the time when the device operator noticed the offense, this information immediately went to road police officers who intervened against the perpetrator of the offense – explains Jaśkiewicz.
