– Some of our Member States now seem to think that the end of the war at all costs and restoring the normal mode of conducting business with Russia will be beneficial. As a representative of a country neighboring with both Russia and Ukraine, I can tell you that by normalizing relations with Moscow, you would entrust your safety and economic stability to the Autocrat and a war criminal in the international environment much more unstable than a decade ago – said Sikorski.
He emphasized that “this would not create a more fair global order.” – It would not benefit the countries dissatisfied with the current state of affairs, would not even bring more fair and prosperous Russia – he added.
He said that Russia's aggression is a classic colonial aggression. “The Kremlin's aggression is a manifestation of the desperate struggle of the falling empire to restore its influence zone,” said the minister.
Time to stop isolating Russia? “NO”

At the meeting in the afternoon they took place voting on two competitive resolutions. The first of them, the Ukrainian-European, demands the immediate withdrawal of Russian forces and called the war “Russian aggression”. 93 countries voted for her, there were 18, and 65 countries abstained. The resolution reported by the USA also underwent, which originally only talked about regret due to the “tragic loss of life in the conflict of the Russian Federation with Ukraine”, did not contain the condemnation of the Russian invasion and repeated that the main goal of the UN is to maintain international peace and security and peaceful resolution of disputes.
Her text was changed with amendments reported, among others through Poland. After them, the document says that War in Ukraine It is “an invasion of Ukraine on a full scale (made) by the Russian Federation.” The second amendment confirms “commitment to sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its international recognized boundaries”, and the third calls “to a fair, durable and comprehensive peace in Ukraine, which respects the principles of the United Nations Card and the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity “.
The US has criticized these amendments as “aimed at waging war rather than ending” and abstained from voting on their own document.
