The head of Polish diplomacy, Radosław Sikorski, talked on Wednesday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba. According to the Polish Ministry of Diplomacy, Sikorski supported the country’s European aspirations and expressed hope for a positive decision by the European Council to start negotiations.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski held a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba on Wednesday. “The minister assured that our nations will always stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight for freedom, supported Ukraine’s European aspirations and expressed hope for a positive decision by the European Council to start negotiations,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on social media.

Kułeba: Sikorski accepted the invitation to visit Ukraine

Kułeba also announced on Wednesday that he had talked to the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs and congratulated him on taking up the position. He added that Sikorski accepted his invitation to visit Ukraine.

Kułeba wrote on the X platform that the Polish minister confirmed his commitment to further strengthening Ukrainian-Polish relations, opposing Russian aggression, integrating Ukraine with the EU and FOR THIS and cooperation on other matters. As he said, the conversation also concerned the EU summit.

“The minister assured me that Poland will actively work at the summit to ensure the adoption of the necessary decisions, including the one regarding the opening of Ukrainian EU accession talks,” Kułeba emphasized.

As the Prime Minister said on Wednesday in Brussels Donald Tuskperhaps his meeting with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will take place on Thursday morning.
