The police detained a 25-year-old who broke into a newly built house in Radzyń Podlaski (Lubelskie), and then into a farm building. In the first place he took out a wireless speaker, in the second he only prepared loot and … fell asleep. The same man was recently arrested for the theft of copper pipes. At the police station he confessed and left the building.
On the night from Friday to Saturday (November 26-27) in Radzyń Podlaski, a 25-year-old – according to the report of Piotr Mucha from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Radzyń Podlaski – “first broke into a newly built house, from which a wireless speaker was stolen, and then he broke into a farm building elsewhere in the city, where he prepared a drill, antenna and plumbing fittings, among others, to take away. ”
– Tired of his illegal activities, he fell asleep at the place of the crime – says Piotr Mucha.
The witness noticed broken windows
On Saturday morning, someone noticed that the windows of the outbuilding were broken. The witness called the police. When the patrol entered, he found a 25-year-old sleeping there who had almost half a per mille of alcohol in his body when he was arrested.
It turned out that the same man recently admitted at the police station that on Thursday (November 25) he stole copper pipes from a newly built house in Radzyń Podlaski, then broke them and sold them in a scrap yard. For this, he received PLN 200, while the value of the losses was estimated at PLN 1,000. After declaring his own guilt, the 25-year-old left the police station.
He is facing up to 15 years in prison
The court will decide about the fate of the man. The allegation of the theft of pipes was accused of two thefts with break-in, which he committed from Saturday night to Sunday. This time he also confessed. He will be held liable under the conditions of recidivism.
– The crime of theft with burglary is punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, and in the case of a repeat offense, this penalty may be increased by half – emphasizes Asp. Piotr Mucha.
