At least several dozen people were killed during Sunday's Israeli air attack on Rafah in the Gaza Strip, foreign agencies report, citing information from Palestinian doctors. The missiles were supposed to fall, among others, on tents for displaced people.

Doctors said the Israeli airstrike came after Hamas carried out rocket attacks on Tel Aviv for the first time in months. According to Palestinian medics, Israeli missiles hit tents for displaced people. The footage from the scene of the attack shows enormous destruction, they add. The exact number of fatalities is unknown, but preliminary information indicates that at least several dozen people died.

There is no comment yet on the attack by the Israeli armed forces.
