Maciej Stańczuk became the new CEO of Rafako. The company’s board of directors made the decision on Wednesday. Stańczuk will replace Radosław Domagalski-Łabędzki, who was dismissed from this function.

The Management Board of Rafako announced that the company’s supervisory board entrusted the function of the president of the management board to the current vice-president, Maciej Stańczuk. In addition, the supervisory board delegated a member of the board, Przemysław Schmidt, to temporarily perform the duties of a member of the management board for a period of three months.

The Supervisory Board also set the number of Management Board members at two.

A few days ago Radosław Domagalski-Łabędzki was dismissed from the position of president of Rafako. As reported, the reason for the dismissal by the supervisory board was “loss of trust”.

Who is Maciej Stanczuk?

As we read on Rafako’s website, Maciej Stańczuk is “an experienced manager performing management and advisory functions on the domestic and foreign markets”. It was indicated that Stańczuk is a co-author of banking strategies in the conventional and renewable energy sector, as well as an expert in obtaining financing for investments in the energy sector.

He started his career in the 1990s at Polski Bank Rozwoju in Warsaw, where he was a member of the management board responsible for risk. “In 1993-2010, he was associated with WestLB Bank Polska, where he was a member and then president of the management board. The next stage of his professional career was in 2010-2013, when he was president of the management board of Polski Bank Przedsiębiorczości” – added. Maciej Stańczuk then, in 2014-2015, served as the president of the management board of Polimex-Mostostal.

During his professional career, Stańczuk also served as a member of many supervisory boards, he was also the vice-president and chief economist of Employers of Poland.
