A week ago, Raków Częstochowa defeated Legia Warsaw 1-0 away. Much more happened off the pitch than on it. The emotions between the clubs before and after the match were much greater than those we saw during the match.

Watch the video Water tore the wall. “I felt like I was on the Titanic.” There won't be any sports there for long

It all started with a statement by Legia's coach – Goncalo Feio – who suggested that the Rakow Częstochowa staff used spying methods. – I don't want to say too much, I also hope they don't send a drone like they did last time. Recording opponents' training sessions is not right. We don't do things like that – said the Portuguese.

Feio's words were denied by Piotr Obidziński and Wojciech Cygan from Raków Częstochowa. The main sponsor of the former Polish champion organized a discount on drones in his stores. The discount code clearly referred to the name of the Legia coach.

“The situation would not pass either in diplomacy or in cavalry”

– I achieved my goal. Half a year ago, when I took over Legia, I had three training sessions before the match with Raków. All of them were recorded using a drone. I simply wanted to avoid such a situation and it worked, this time they didn't record us – said Feio after the lost match.

During the press conference, the Portuguese referred to the president of Raków in a disparaging manner. Feio was asked about Obidziński's words, to which he responded twice by asking: “Who?” as if he did not know who the president of his former club was.

In a conversation with the portal przegladsportowy.onet.pl, Obidziński commented on Feio's behavior. – We played at the stadium named after Marshal Piłsudski, so I will respond with a quote from his adjutant, General Wieniawa-Długoszowski, known in Warsaw salons: “In diplomacy, you can sometimes do dirty tricks, but never stupid things. In cavalry, it's the other way around.” I believe that, unfortunately, we were dealing with a situation that would not be tolerated in either diplomacy or cavalry – said Obidziński.

– First of all, it's time to cool down these emotions, focus on the next matches and the hard work associated with building the club. I have so many managerial, organizational and sporting tasks that there is no point in wasting energy on creating unnecessary tensions – he added.
