Ramstein Air Base in Germany prepares to accommodate Afghanistan evacuees

A U.S. air base in Germany was making ready to accommodate evacuees arriving from Afghanistan, Air Drive officers stated Friday.

“Ramstein Airmen have been making ready around-the-clock to supply assist, akin to short-term lodging, as the bottom receives plane carrying evacuees within the coming days,” Ramstein Air Base tweeted. 

Service members and volunteers arrange cots and sorted via donations of things akin to bathroom paper, diapers and soccer balls for the upcoming arrival of evacuees, pictures tweeted out by the bottom confirmed.

“We put ourselves of their sneakers — if we needed to escape some horrible power and we left all of our issues behind, what would we want once we acquired to a secure place?” Air Drive First Sgt. Andrew Wilder advised Stars and Stripes, a navy publication.
