An RCB alert was sent to people staying in the Kłodzko district (Lower Silesia) on Monday morning. The services warn about high levels of smog there.

“Attention! On December 2, poor air quality in terms of PM10 suspended dust (SMOG) is forecast. Avoid outdoor activities” – RCB alert with this content was sent to recipients in the Kłodzko poviat (voivodeship Lower Silesia).

The Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection predicts that there is a risk that the average daily concentration of suspended dust PM10 will exceed 150 micrograms per cubic meter.

The Government Center for Security advises against walking and practicing outdoor sports and recommends limiting the ventilation of rooms.

Suspended dust is a mixture of solid particles and liquid droplets that remain in the air. These particles may contain, for example: sulfur and nitrogen compounds, organic compounds (including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), heavy metals, dioxins and allergens (such as plant pollen and fungal spores). PM10 dust contains particles with a diameter not exceeding 10 micrometers.
