The National Sports Council issued a positive decision for the Catalans to register players. Earlier, the applications were rejected by La Liga and the Spanish Football Association. The matter ended as Barcelona wanted, but it is already known that this is only a temporary solution.

It is very likely that Barcelona, Olmo and Victor will soon find themselves in a similar situation. According to Spanish media, the players were registered for only three months. Let us remind you that if the club failed to register the players, Barcelona could lose them for free and at the same time would have to pay their salaries until the transfer.

Barcelona's rivals are dissatisfied with the decision regarding Olmo and Victor

Barcelona's opponents did not like the decision of the National Sports Council. Atletico Madrid and Las Palmas have already expressed negative opinions on this matter. Both clubs called on the National Sports Council to change the decision favorable to Barcelona.

“We believe that this decision threatens the current system, calling into question the rules of the game. (…) The government's intervention sets a very dangerous precedent because it opens the door to breaking the rules and repeating serious mistakes of the past,” Atletico said in a statement.

“We express our strong opposition. We believe that this decision poses a serious threat to the integrity of the competition and sets a disturbing precedent that could destabilize the foundations of professional football in our country,” Las Palmas added.

Olmo is a Barcelona graduate who returned to the club last summer. The Catalans paid RB Leipzig as much as EUR 60 million for him. This season, the midfielder played 15 times, scored six goals and had an assist. Victor also joined the club in the summer. The former Girona striker played 17 games, scored two goals and had an assist.
