Reconstruction of railway traffic control devices on the Radom–Dęblin section

Railway workers inform about further investments. By the end of 2024, PKP PLK is to rebuild railway traffic control devices on the Radom-Dęblin section. – Thanks to the investment, the level of safety on railway line No. 26 will increase – assured Karol Jakubowski, PKP PLK spokesman.

As part of the investment, a local control center, Jedlnia Letnisko, will be created. It will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trains at the Jedlnia Letnisko, Pionki, Żytkowice and Garbatka Letnisko stations. The supervision will cover a section with a total length of approximately 25 km, between Radom and Dęblin.

PKP PLK: safe and efficient rail travel for passengers

Optical fiber will be laid along the railway line, thanks to which employees responsible for train traffic will be able to control devices on the route. – There will also be better management of devices at rail and road crossings. For passengers, this means safe and efficient rail travel, said Karol Jakubowski, spokesman for PKP PLK. He added that “thanks to the investment, the level of safety on railway line No. 26 will increase.”

The works will be carried out as part of the task “Installation of remote control devices on railway line No. 26 to control the Jedlnia Letnisko, Pionki, Żytkowice and Garbatka Letnisko stations from the Jedlnia Letnisko station”, which is part of the project “Digitization of railway infrastructure through the installation of modern devices and systems – stage II’.

The value of the contract is over PLN 21 million net.
