The 15-year-old drowned at a swimming pool in Rudna Mała near Rzeszów (Podkarpackie Province). The boy disappeared under the water and did not resurface, his body was found by divers about 10 meters from the shore. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
The incident took place on Sunday (August 13) just after 3 pm. As the midshipman Andrzej Stebnicki from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Rzeszów told us, the “Słoneczny Brzeg” swimming pool in Rudna Mała is separated by buoys, but it is not guarded by lifeguards, and the security service weekends only.
The boy – as reported by the policeman – was at the water with a friend, he alerted the services about the disappearance of a 15-year-old.

A diver pulled the body of a 15-year-old out of the water
– Six fire brigade units have been dispatched to the site, including firefighters from the specialist water and diving rescue group from Tarnobrzeg and from the specialist sonar group from Przemyśl – said Brigadier Marcin Betleja, spokesman for the Podkarpackie Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service.
As reported by Betleja, a diver, searching the water in the place indicated by witnesses, found a 15-year-old under water around 5 pm. – He was about 10 meters from the shore. At this point, the reservoir is about two meters deep, the spokesman for the Podkarpackie firefighters reported.
After pulling the boy to the surface, cardiopulmonary resuscitation was started immediately, but unfortunately his life could not be saved. By the prosecutor’s decision, his body was secured for examination.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, and firefighters are appealing for caution
– We will explain all the circumstances of this event, including the place where the boy was swimming – designated and guarded or not – Stebnicki told us.
Firefighters are urging people to be careful while out on the water. – Remember to bathe only in places designated for this purpose and guarded by lifeguards – emphasized Betleja.
He also reminded that it is absolutely forbidden to enter the water while under the influence of alcohol. – Let us also remember to adapt water activities to our skills and capabilities – he noted.

Firefighters extracted the body of a 56-year-old man from the Drwęca River in Brodnica (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). The canoeists reported the matter to the authorities.
