Poczta Polska announced that it will optimize employment this year. – The voluntary employee redundancy plan will cover about 9 thousand people – said the company's president Sebastian Mikosz on Wednesday. He added that currently, wages constitute 65 percent of Poczta Polska's costs.
“The transformation of Poczta Polska will be carried out in several stages. The first of them, called Poczta 1.0, assumes the introduction of the most urgent changes. They will be implemented this year and will include, among others, the IT area, improving the quality of postal services, as well as employment optimization” – it was stated in the announcement.
It was added that the voluntary redundancy plan will be addressed to administration employeesand its aim is to provide proper financial security for those leaving.
– Employees who decide to use it, they will receive the equivalent of 12 salaries and they will be able to start new work the next day – said the company's president, Sebastian Mikosz, quoted in a press release.
He added that these changes are necessary “because today nearly 65 percent of Poczta Polska's costs are wages“. – The aim of the changes is to make Poczta Polska an attractive employer – emphasized Mikosz.
This is how many people will be covered by the voluntary redundancy plan
The voluntary redundancy plan for employees of Poczta Polska will include: about 9 thousand employees – Sebastian Mikosz, the company's president, said at a press conference on Wednesday. He announced that the plan would begin this year.
– We will proceed (voluntary departure program – ed.) in the following manner (…) – we will propose that selected people take advantage of the voluntary departure program. We will direct this program to about 15 percent of the staff, which is approximately 9 thousand people, but we will not direct it to groups, but to individual people defined and identified on the basis of the assessment – said Mikosz.
He assured that the program will not be directed at postmen or people employed in post offices.
