President Andrzej Duda, of course, learned about the rocket near Bydgoszcz. The day before, on radio Trójka, a representative of Andrzej Duda said that “the president is always informed about such issues immediately after the event takes place.”

Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defence Mariusz Blaszczak referred to the case of the remains of an unidentified military facility found at the end of April near Bydgoszcz at a press conference on Thursday. He stated, inter alia, that “inspection findings indicate that the procedures and response mechanisms (…) worked properly to the level of the Operational Commander, who did not properly fulfill his duties.” This commander is the Lieutenant General Tomasz Piotrowski.

After making the statement, Błaszczak did not want to answer journalists’ questions, including when he found out that a rocket had fallen near Bydgoszcz.

Earlier, the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, General Rajmund Andrzejczak, assured that he himself “informed his superiors” about the incident “when it took place”. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki He said he found out about it in April.

On Friday, on Radio Zet, the head of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Poland, Paweł Szrot, was asked about when he found out about the case Andrzej Duda. – Of course he found out. “I don’t know the details of that, and even if I did, I’m not sure I could share them.”

Asked if we can make assumptions that the president did not know about this incident in December, Szrot replied that he “generally avoids making any assumptions.”

Let me just remind you that fortunately there were no casualties or damage in the case of the rocket near Bydgoszcz – replied the head of the president’s office.

Asked about the word “immediately” and the statements of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who said that he learned about the case in April, Szrot replied: “I said what I could say about it.”
