Rakow Częstochowa have been disappointing in the Ekstraklasa so far. Marek Papszun's team has scored 11 points in seven games and is in 7th place in the Ekstraklasa table. Rakow is not only averaging points, but is also playing – to put it mildly – ineffectively.
In seven matches, Częstochowa scored just five goals. In this respect, only Zagłębie Lubin and Motor Lublin look equally bad, while Korona Kielce and Stal Mielec scored one goal less. This is one of the reasons why the end of the transfer window was spectacular for Raków.
In recent days, Marek Papszun's team has been strengthened by Piast Gliwice players: Ariel Mosór and Michael Ameyaw, as well as the midfielder from Stal Rzeszów, Jesus Diaz. Rakow strengthened, but also parted ways with several players.
On Friday evening, Częstochowa announced the loan of Jakub Myszor to the first league Ruch Chorzów. But that's not all. On Saturday morning, Raków also announced the separation with Adnan Kovacevic. The club terminated the contract with the player by mutual consent.
Another player left Raków
The 30-year-old defender joined Raków last summer after spending three years at Hungarian side Ferencvaros. Kovacevic was not an anonymous figure for us, as he was football player Korona Kielce and one of the outstanding defenders in the Ekstraklasa.
However, Kovacevic couldn't cope in Rakov. Last season, the Bosnian played 22 matches, but most of them in the autumn round. In the spring David Szwarga he wasn't so keen on betting on him anymore, and after Papszun's return, Kovacevic didn't play even a minute.
As reported by the website Meczyki.pl, Kovacevic will become a player of the first league Miedź Legnica. He is another player who left Raków this summer. Earlier, Ante Crnac, Vladan Kovacevic, John Yeboah, Deian Sorescu, Giannis Papanikolaou, Łukasz Zwoliński, Sonny Kittel and Bartosz Nowak also left Częstochowa.
A dozen or so days ago, Raków also terminated the contract with goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson, whom they acquired in the summer transfer window. However, the player did not convince Papszun with either talent or approach to duties.
In the first match after the break for national team matches, Raków will play away against Legia Warsaw. The match will take place on September 15th at 5:30 p.m.
