Due to road repairs in Poland after the holidays, some of the strategic fast roads will get jammed – writes Monday’s Rzeczpospolita. The fragments of roads undergoing renovation include, among others, parts of the A2 and A4 motorways.
As we read in the newspaper, so far the list of “autumn” renovations has 70 items. Part of the works will be carried out next year.
Road repairs in Poland
“They will cover sections with a total length of over 190 kilometers. Among them is the 20-kilometer section of the A2 motorway between the Stryków and Emilia junctions, where the pavement needs to be replaced and the road structure must be strengthened,” Rzeczpospolita wrote.
There will also be traffic jams on the A4 motorway, where works will be carried out on the section from Góra Św. Anna up to the border of the Opole and Silesian provinces.
It added that after the holidays it will be very crowded on the roads in the Szczecin area, where the next stage of work will begin on the rebuilt Kijewo junction at the junction of the A6 motorway, S3 expressway and national road No. 10.
“In Wielkopolska, the S11 expressway will be renovated, in the Lubelskie Voivodeship a fragment of the national road No. 12, in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship – DK15, and in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship – DK62” – we read in the journal.
Road construction in Poland
At the beginning of August, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways announced that more than 1.6 thousand kilometers of roads from the National Road Construction Program and the program for the construction of 100 ring roads are currently under construction. Another 3,000 kilometers of roads are at the tender or preparation stage.
