Robin Williams, who died in 2014, would have turned 72. On the occasion of the actor’s birthday, his children published posts in which they remember their father. “I loved that look of yours so much. A look with a mischievous, loving smile that your loved ones and friends knew so well,” Zachary’s 40-year-old son wrote.

The posts appeared on the social media of 40-year-old Zachary and 33-year-old Zelda. On Friday, July 21, their father would have turned 72. The outstanding American actor was known primarily for his comedic roles in such films as “The Birdcage” or “Mrs. Doubtfire”. However, he also acted in dramas, e.g. “Dead Poets Society”. In 1997 he received Oscar for his supporting role in Good Will Hunting.

“I mentioned recently how much I loved that look of yours. A look with a mischievous, loving smile that your loved ones and friends knew so well. Joyful, curious, wonderful. I miss you, I will always love you,” Williams’ son wrote on Instagram. He added a photo of the actor from his youth, from one of the films in which he played.

Williams’ 33-year-old daughter tweeted that if her father were alive, he would join the ongoing artists’ strike. “Happy birthday to Poppo who would no doubt be there fighting for the right cause, for art and artists,” reads the caption of the photo, which shows Williams taking part in a street demonstration. “Independent” explains that this photo was taken in 2007 in New York, during a protest of screenwriters.

Zachary (Zak) and Zelda are Williams’ children from his marriage to film producer Marsha Garces Williams, which lasted from 1989 to 2010. Garces Williams was the actor’s second wife. A year after the divorce, the star married for the third time, with Susan Schneider, with whom he was associated until his death.

Robin Williams – what he was sick with

Williams died on August 11, 2014. He was 63 years old. He had struggled with many health problems before. As Susan Schneider recalled last spring, his mental state deteriorated in 2012, then Williams began to retire from the Throckmorton Theater in California. The actor struggled with depression. Symptoms of paranoia also appeared, he began to experience delusions, he lost his memory, he suffered from severe insomnia. Personality changes were evident. A few months before his death, Williams was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
