If we underestimate such events, we will not react to them appropriately, it will only create opportunities for greater interference in our territory, at least in the airspace – said reserve general Jan Rajchel, an expert of the Stratpoints Foundation, in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. He referred to the issue of finding the remains of a military facility near Bydgoszcz.

On Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak referred to the issue of the facilitywhich fell in December and was found in April in Zamość near Bydgoszcz, and for the control carried out in this matter at the Operational Command of the Armed Forces.

– According to the findings of the inspection, the Operational Commander abandoned his instructional duties, not informing me about the object that appeared in Polish airspace, nor informing the Government Center for Security and other services provided for in the procedures – said the head of the Ministry of National Defense. This commander is General Tomasz Piotrowski.

Błaszczak said that “the findings of the inspection clearly showed that the Operational Commander had not taken sufficient action to search for the object.” He added that after December 19, the search was completely abandoned.

Rajchel: This is the biggest mistake you could have made

The case was addressed on Friday in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 by an experienced pilot, reserve general Jan Rajchel, an expert of the Stratpoints Foundation and former secretary of state at the Ministry of National Defense and former chairman of the parliamentary National Defense Committee Janusz Zemke.

Rajchel was asked what kind of mistake it was not to search for the object. – On a scale of one to ten, it’s a ten. This is the biggest mistake you could have made. This is the first such event that has happened. We don’t know if it’s the only one,’ he added. He stressed that “such things cannot be underestimated.”

– If we ignore such events, we will not react to them appropriately, it will only create opportunities for greater interference in our territory, at least in the airspace – he added.

In his opinion, “it was a political decision looking at how it worked out over time.” – Wires, a month later Bydgoszcz, in the meantime an offer the Germans about strengthening the air defense system by deploying a Patriot battery, which we don’t want, and a rocket drops in the meantime. I can’t imagine then that the minister, in the middle of this anti-German campaign, let’s call it that, would reveal such a thing – he assessed.

Zemke: Minister Błaszczak thought he would close the topic

– If you carefully listen to what the minister was saying, there was no information on what day it happened, what kind of rocket it was, from where it flew into Polish airspace. The name Operations Command was mentioned six times without mentioning the general’s name by the way. This conference was actually just for that, Zemke assessed.

He added that Minister Błaszczak thought that by giving the general’s name he would “close the topic”.
