An unusual accident occurred in Rogoźnica-Kolonia (Lublin Voivodeship). The cow that ran into the street was hit by the drivers of a truck and a Toyota passenger car, which stopped on its roof after the collision. The animal did not survive. The owner of the cow was fined.
The incident occurred on Thursday (January 16) around 8:20 p.m. on the national railway line in Rogoźnica-Kolonia in the Lublin poviat. According to the police, the driver of a Volvo truck hit a cow, which “suddenly ran onto the road”, and then the animal was hit by the driver of a Toyota truck driving behind the truck, which overturned after the collision. Unfortunately, the animal did not survive the collision with two vehicles.

The truck was driven by a 46-year-old man, while the driver of the passenger car was a 64-year-old man. The drivers of the vehicles were sober, which was confirmed by an examination conducted by the uniformed officers. “A 64-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries. Fortunately, his injuries were not serious,” the police informed.
According to the police, the cow escaped from the pen. The owner of the animal was fined.
“The owner is responsible for any damage caused by the animal,” the police reminds.
