Roman Załuski is dead. He directed, among others, “Och, Karol” and “Kogel-mogel”

Film director and screenwriter Roman Załuski has died, the Polish Filmmakers Association announced on Tuesday evening. He was behind the camera of such productions as “Anatomy of Love”, “Oh, Karol” or “Kogel-mogel”. The artist was 85 years old.

Załuski’s death was announced on its website by the Polish Filmmakers Association, of which the director was a member.

Roman Załuski was born on December 10, 1936. He studied at the Film School in Łódź, where he graduated from the Directing Department. As the association wrote, “he had many well-known dramas and comedies on his account.” These included “Anatomy of Love” (1972), “Emergency Exit” (1982), “Oh, Karol” (1985), “Kogel-mogel” (1988), “Galimatias or Kogel-mogel II”, “Matrimonial Comedy” (1994). He also wrote numerous screenplays for films.

“He received the Award of the Radio and Television Committee for his radio and television work in 1970. He was nominated for the Golden Lion six times,” SFP reminded.

The artist died on November 29 in Warsaw at the age of 85.
