Supporters of the far -right Calina Georgescu caused riots in the center of Bucharest. They occurred at night from Sunday to Monday after the evening decision of the Central Electoral Office (BEC) of Romania, which annulled the candidacy of this policy in the presidential election planned for May 4.
According to the information of Romanian medical services, as a result of clashes with aggressive supporters of Georgescu, at least two gendarmes were injured. With head and leg wounds they were hospitalized. Representatives of police services said that the clashes occurred when a group of several hundred dissatisfied supporters of Georgescu tried to break into the headquarters of the Central Electoral Office, forcing the barriers arranged around the building.
