One person was killed and 33 injured in two gas tank explosions at an LPG station in the Romanian village of Crevedia near Bucharest. Deputy Interior Minister Raed Arafat said there was a risk of the third tank exploding.

The Emergency Situations Agency (IGSU) of Romania reported that one of the three liquid gas tanks at an LPG station exploded on Saturday. The fire spread to the other two tanks and a nearby house. This resulted in the evacuation of residents within a radius of 300 meters and blocking traffic.

A second LPG tank exploded while extinguishing the fire at the station, Deputy Interior Minister Raed Arafat, responsible for the crisis response unit, told reporters. He added that there is a risk of the third tank exploding.

One person died and 33 were injured, including 26 firefighters. There are 25 firefighters on site.
