When transporting alcohol and tobacco products between EU countries, each country may have its own guidelines on the amount of cigarettes, wine or beer that can be brought into its territory. However, the values specified in these guidelines cannot be lower than those set at EU level, e.g. 800 cigarettes (4 cartons), 90 litres of wine or 110 litres of beer.
