Two teenagers were injured in an accident that occurred in Królewski Dwór (Lubelskie). The police's preliminary findings show that their car went off the road and rolled several times, stopping on its roof. Moments later, another car hit their vehicle.
On Saturday (October 20), after 9 p.m., the officer on duty at the Parczew unit received a report that a car overturned on provincial road 815, near the viaduct in Królewski Dwór.
According to the police's findings, the driver of the Ford on a straight section of the road probably did not adjust her speed to the prevailing conditions, lost control of the car, drove into the opposite lane, the roadside and, after entering a roadside ditch, rolled several times. The car stopped in the middle of the road.
Two teenagers in the hospital
Two young women, aged 17 and 18, were driving the car. “One of them was thrown from the vehicle as a result of the impact, while the other one managed to leave the car lying on the roof on her own. Both of them with bodily injuries were transported to hospitals in Parczew and Lublin,” said Staff Sergeant Ewelina Semeniuk from the police in Parczew.
A moment after the 17-year-old passenger left the vehicle, another car hit it – a BMW driven by an 18-year-old. “The woman noticed a cloud of smoke on the road and immediately braked. However, there was an overturned Ford in her lane and she was unable to avoid it, resulting in a collision,” said Sergeant Semieniuk.
The driver of the BMW was sober and did not need medical assistance.
