The Fiat driver, driving on national road “50”, in the town of Roztropna in Masovia, overtook a truck at an intersection and a pedestrian crossing. He was caught by inspectors from the Center for Automatic Road Traffic Supervision, who showed the incident on video. The 62-year-old received a high fine.
CANARD shared the recording of the Fiat driver’s actions on social media. The inspectors’ unmarked car was driving right behind the truck. The recording shows the Fiat driver overtaking a truck on a pedestrian crossing. The man is in such a hurry that he does not pay attention to the fact that there is an intersection nearby. The offenses were captured by the camera in the car of CANARD inspectors, who detained the driver for inspection.
“The offense was witnessed by inspectors in an unmarked police car from the Center for Automatic Road Traffic Supervision. They immediately intervened. The man claimed that he had not noticed the signs. He received a fine of PLN 1.5 thousand. He also received 15 penalty points,” we read in the information posted on Facebook.
What is CANARD?
The Automatic Road Traffic Supervision Center (CANARD) is an organizational unit of the Chief Road Transport Inspectorate. It was established to supervise road traffic. “CANARD, thanks to the automatic registration of offenses, reveals violations of regulations regarding drivers exceeding established speed limits and failing to obey traffic lights,” we read on the center’s website.
