Trish Storey, a volunteer who cares for mice at Pawz For Thought, mentioned: “There may be at all times a concern that because of the smaller measurement of Penny the brand new mom might have rejected her – however on this case she fortunately took on her parental tasks and it was beautiful to see.

“She actually is our little miracle.”

Earlier than being launched to the surrogate, Penny was saved in an incubator and fed by a member of employees by means of the evening with goats milk on a tiny make-up brush.

Penny is now round 10 days {old}, and might be accessible for adoption when she is older.

Ms Storey mentioned: “Penny was so fortunate to be noticed by the member of the general public as a result of she was so tiny after which the chances had been towards her.

“She has carried out amazingly properly within the care of Pawz, which does a improbable job and helps the RSPCA an incredible deal.

“It simply goes to indicate that no animal is simply too small for animal charities like us to rescue and rehabilitate.”
