On Tuesday evening there was a shock at the Halemba Mine in Ruda Śląska – said spokeswoman for the Polish Mining Group Ewa Grudniok.
The underground shock around 20.30 was strongly felt on the surface. The inhabitants of Katowice, Zabrze and Siemianowice Śląskie alerted about him. – I can confirm that the shock occurred in the movement of the Halemba Ruda Coal Mine – said Ewa Grudniok around 9pm.
Around 10pm, the PGG spokeswoman announced that all employees were withdrawn from the endangered region. In the area of the wall there were 33 people at the time of the shock, including 12 directly in the wall.
Two miners injured
– Two miners were injured, they were conscious, communicative during the evacuation – reported Grudniok.

Underground shocks, next to the explosions of methane and carbon dust, are common causes of mining accidents.
The majority of shocks, even if they are significantly felt on the surface, do not cause negative effects. Those that cause damage to underground or surface infrastructure are called bumps.
