The governor of Russia’s Belgorod Oblast, which borders Ukraine, Vyacheslav Gladkov, confirmed reports by Russian media and Telegram channels about a drone attack on Belgorod. The official published photos of the damaged skyscraper and cars parked nearby.
Gładkow reported in a Sunday entry on the Telegram channel that the residential building at ul. Yesenina 9 was damaged, possibly as a result of a drone attack. He wrote that the facade of the building, from the seventh to the thirteenth floor, was damaged. 15 cars parked nearby were also damaged. As a result of the attack, Gladkov announced, no one was hurt.
Earlier on Sunday, Russian propaganda agencies as well as Telegram channels reported that Belgorod residents saw a drone flying over the city and heard explosions.

On Sunday morning, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the shooting down of three drones over the territory of the Belgorod region. Another drone was shot down over the Kursk region.
Authorities Ukraine so far they have not referred to Sunday’s incident in Belgorod.
