The Ukrainian military has destroyed another strategic bridge over the Sejm River in Russia's Kursk region. The strike will limit Russia's ability to supply the group resisting Ukrainian forces, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk said, showing footage of the operation.
The Ukrainian Air Force has destroyed the second bridge of strategic importance over the Seym River in Kursk Oblast Russia. On Friday, Ukrainians published a video of the destruction of the first river crossing near KurskThe bridge was used by the Kremlin authorities to supply Russian troops, and its destruction was intended to hamper their efforts.
The second bridge, the destruction of which was reported on Sunday via Telegram by Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk, was also of strategic importance to the Russians. Getting rid of the structure could make it harder for the Russians to supply the group resisting Ukrainian forces.
“Direction Kursk”
“Direction Kursk. Minus one more bridge! Ukrainian Air Force aviation continues to deprive the enemy of logistical capabilities with precision air strikes, which significantly affects the course of military operations,” Oleszczuk wrote on social media, attaching a recording of the operation.
The footage shows a cloud of smoke from the explosion that occurred on the bridge, as well as a huge hole in its structure.
Kiev said that since the attack on Kursk Oblast on August 6, the Ukrainian army has taken control of more than 80 towns and an area of more than 1,150 square meters. This is the first such invasion of Russian territory since World War II.
Earlier, as Reuters notes, military analysts claimed that there were three bridges in the area of the Ukrainian army offensive, through which Russia supplies its forces. Two of them were destroyed or seriously damaged.
