A freight train has derailed in the Bryansk region of Russia, the independent Meduza portal reported. The day before, also in this region, an explosion derailed a Belarusian train carrying, among other things, fuel.

In the border with Ukraine and Belarus in the Russian Bryansk region on Tuesday, a freight train derailed as a result of an explosion, reports the Meduza portal.

Russian state railways reported that the freight train derailed due to “illegal interference by outsiders in the operation of rail transport,” writes Meduza. The locomotive and about 20 wagons derailed. According to preliminary information, no one was injured.

Explosion of “unspecified charge”

The governor of the Bryansk region, Aleksandr Bogomaz, confirmed that the tracks had been blown up by an “unspecified explosive”.

On Monday the Belarusian Ministry of Transport reportedthat at approx. On 10.00 in the morning, an explosion occurred 50 meters from a freight train of the Belarusian State Railways. Eight carriages derailed.
