Russia. Media: Vladimir Putin’s younger daughter, Katerina Tikhonova, will take care of “import replacement”

The younger daughter of President Vladimir Putin, Katerina Tikhonov, became the co-chair of the coordinating council for import substitution at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the RBK website informed. The council was established to coordinate the activities of companies producing goods which – due to Western sanctions – stopped reaching the Russian market.

The statement of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs sent to the editorial office of RBK also informed that the coordinating council would also “learn about effective practices of replacing imported goods of Russian production, as well as formulate proposals for the implementation of state policy in the field of import substitution.”

The union confirmed that the 35-year-old Katerina Tikhonova became the co-chair of the council, according to Russian and Western media reports – the younger daughter of the president Vladimir Putin.

The daily “Kommersant” recalled that in 2020 Tikhonova headed the Institute for Advanced Research on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems at the Moscow State University. Lomonosov.
