Who is Vladimir Litvinenko?

Vladimir Litvinenko was placed under sanctions after Russia launched its invasion Ukraine.

In 1997, Litvinenko was the chairman of the scientific council, before which Putin defended his doctorate in economics. He was also the head of three Putin’s election campaigns – in 2000, 2004 and 2012.
