The Russians have limited possibilities to increase their potential with high-tech precision means. However, this war can take such a mass character. A large number of simple weapons, a large number of soldiers can be a problem – said the expert of the Stratpoints Foundation, reserve brigadier general Jan Rajchel in “One for One” on TVN24.
An experienced pilot, Reserve General Jan Rajchel, an expert of the Stratpoints Foundation and a professor at the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce, spoke about the situation at the front. He said that war in Ukraine entered “a phase of stationary warfare comparable to the stagnation periods of World War II.” – Artillery fire is being exchanged, today it is also the fire of rocket troops and in some sections there are fights, the strategic importance of which is small – he added.
However, he said in the conversation, there is no complete freeze of these activities. “This gives both sides time to regroup their forces, restore combat capability and prepare for some kind of offensive at their own convenience,” Rajchel added.
When asked if stronger rearming Ukraine because the Russians are getting stronger at the front, he replied, “Certainly.”
Rajchel: An opponent’s surprise is very unlikely
– The Russian army that will start operations, we conventionally say in the spring, but it is rather a statement, because a typical spring is not conducive to any broad offensive activities, so it will either take place earlier or a little later, it is already different than the one that stood on February 24 to fight – said the guest “One on one”.
Rajchel said that “certainly the Russians have limited possibilities to increase their potential with high-tech precision means.” – On the other hand, this war can take such a massive character, so simple armaments, a large number of these armaments, a large number of soldiers. That could be a problem, he said.
Asked if he expected a Russian offensive in the coming weeks with significantly more troops, he said he didn’t know. “Putin has made irrational decisions in the past, so perhaps such decisions will be made,” he added.
– However, we know that at the moment any surprise of the enemy by striking in some direction where we do not expect this attack is very unlikely – assessed the expert of the Stratpoints Foundation.
