As explained, the plane that made a flight from the Królewiec region, “violated the Polish airspace to a maximum depth of 6.5 km and stayed in it for 1 minute and 12 seconds.”

Major Ewa Złotnicka, deputy spokesman for the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, donated in an interview with TVN24 reporter Sebastian Napieraj that “a flight from the Królewiec region”. – The flight was watched all the time by military radar systems. The pilot of the aircraft, after the intervention of the Russian Federation navigator, automatically changed the direction of the flight – said Major Złotnicka.

– Our airspace supervising services were in contact with the Russian side, which confirmed the violation of our airspace. According to the information we obtained from the Russian side, there was an exceeding due to the failure of the Su -24 navigation system – she explained.

She added that this is a Su-24MR aircraft in the reconnaissance version. – He performed routine training flights. There were a lot of these flights in this part of the Baltic Sea space. We analyze and analyze this case and we will draw conclusions from the military side – she said.

The Russian version seems not to convince the Minister of the Interior and Administration, who on Tuesday in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 said that “Russians have long been studying, trying, testing on the Baltic” “ And it's a matter of “last years”. – I have no doubt about the bad will of the Russians, because for years in the Baltic Sea, towards Japan and various other places have been conducting such a testing policy – he noted.

– I assess it not as a pilot error, but another testing, how our systems work – he said. He also assured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “assess this situation and the reaction would certainly be adequate.”

– It also has radar recognition systems. Thanks to them, it can detect ground objects and create terrain maps regardless of weather conditions. It can recognize large goals, such as military bases, bridges, airports and columns of vehicles. This MR version can also conduct electronic recognition. This means that thanks to the systems installed on its deck, it can capture the enemy's radar emissions, identify their sources and determine the location of anti -aircraft defense radars – he described.

He added that SU-24MR also has “systems that can be used to recognize thermal recognition and can be used to detect heat sources from, for example, vehicle engines, artillery positions or rocket launchers.”
