A Tu-22M3 bomber crashed in the Irkutsk region of Russia, propaganda media in Moscow reported on Thursday, citing the Ministry of Defense.
“The crew ejected. There is no threat to the lives of the pilots. The plane crashed in a deserted area,” RIA Novosti reported.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the accident was a technical failure, RIA Novosti added, citing a statement from the Defense Ministry in Moscow.

The Izvestia newspaper recalled that a Russian multi-role tactical bomber Su-34 crashed in the Volgograd region at the end of July. The plane crashed in a deserted area. The flight took place without ammunition, and the crew managed to eject, the daily wrote.
